Its key role is to solve the problem of rapid nutrient loss from traditional fertilizers. By wrapping fertilizer granules in a resin film, it controls the rate of nutrient release (from 1 to 12 months) to match the nutrient needs of crops throughout their growth cycle.
The production follows 4 key continuous steps, with high automation:
- Pretreatment: Screen and dry fertilizer granules (to 1-3% moisture) to ensure uniform flow.
- Coating: In a drum or fluidized-bed coater, atomize and spray resin solution onto the surface of dispersed granules to form an initial film.
- Curing: Heat (60-120℃) or use UV light to harden the resin film into a dense, water-resistant layer.
- Post-treatment: Cool, re-screen (remove lumps), and package the finished product.
