(1) If the carbon-nitrogen ratio of the raw materials is too low (for example, there is too much pure fecal material), the microorganisms will multiply too rapidly and generate excessive heat. (2) Insufficient ventilation results in a low oxygen concentration inside the tank, inhibiting the activity of aerobic microorganisms while enhancing the activity of anaerobic microorganisms.
