Superphosphate fertilizer production line is a
complete set of industrial equipment dedicated to manufacturing superphosphate (commonly known as ordinary superphosphate, OSP) fertilizer. Its core function is to convert insoluble phosphorus in phosphate rock into water-soluble phosphorus that crops can absorb through the chemical reaction between sulfuric acid and phosphate rock powder. Ultimately, it produces chemical fertilizers mainly containing phosphorus, with calcium as an additional nutrient, making it one of the mainstream production lines for traditional phosphate fertilizers.
The effective component of superphosphate is monocalcium phosphate, while phosphorus in natural phosphate rock mostly exists in the form of insoluble calcium phosphate. The core function of the production line is to complete this conversion and achieve standardized production through chemical and physical processes:
- Chemical Reaction Conversion: The acidolysis reaction between sulfuric acid and phosphate rock powder breaks the stable chemical structure of phosphate rock, generating water-soluble monocalcium phosphate (available phosphorus) and calcium sulfate (gypsum, serving as a calcium source in fertilizers).
- Process Control Guarantee: Precisely control key parameters such as reaction temperature, acid-to-ore ratio, and curing time to ensure the available phosphorus content meets standards (qualified products require available phosphorus ≥ 12%) while preventing excessive impurities from affecting fertilizer efficiency.
- Continuous Production: Through the linkage of multiple equipment, it realizes continuous operations from raw material pretreatment, reaction, and curing to finished product processing, meeting the needs of large-scale production (small-scale lines produce dozens of tons per day, and large-scale lines produce hundreds of tons per day).

The superphosphate production line has a clear process logic. From raw materials to finished products, it goes through 4 key steps, taking approximately 15-25 days in total (most time is spent on the curing stage):
- Raw Material Pretreatment: Crush and grind phosphate rock → Dilute sulfuric acid to ensure the fineness and concentration of both raw materials meet reaction requirements.
- Acidolysis and Chemical Conversion: Rapidly mix diluted sulfuric acid and phosphate rock powder in a mixer, then transfer to a chemical conversion tank to complete the reaction and generate paste-like slurry.
- Curing and Aging: Transfer the paste-like slurry to a curing warehouse, stack and cure for 15-20 days, with regular ventilation to promote complete reaction and reduce free acid content.
- Finished Product Processing: Crush the cured material blocks → Screen → (optionally mix with other nutrients) → Package to finally obtain superphosphate finished products.

- Small and medium-sized phosphate fertilizer manufacturers: The production line has relatively low investment (small-scale lines cost several million yuan), mature technology, and easy operation. It is suitable for areas rich in phosphate rock resources or close to agricultural production areas.
- Targeted fertilization needs: Superphosphate is suitable for phosphorus-deficient and calcium-deficient soils (such as alkaline soils in northern China), especially for phosphorus-demanding crops like wheat, corn, and cotton. The production line can directly provide supporting fertilizers for local agriculture.
