what is a Vertical crusher?

Vertical crusher are divided into two categories: vertical shaft impact crushers for mining sand and gravel, and composite crushers; Organic fertilizer/solid waste dedicated vertical wet material crusher (without screening bottom), which is mostly used in organic fertilizer production lines.

Working principle of vertical crusher

The material of the vertical crusher falls from the top feeding port, vertically downwards, and the multi-layer hammer heads/chains on the main shaft rotate at high speed, gradually impacting, shearing, and striking the material; There is no sieve at the bottom, and qualified powder is directly discharged from the lower part, while large blocks are circulated and crushed inside the cavity.

Core advantage: No screening bottom, not afraid of wet materials blocking the machine, very suitable for high water content manure, fermented fertilizer blocks, and sludge clumps.

Common models of organic fertilizers (vertical wet material crusher)

Model, power, output, applicable scenarios

600 type 22kw 3-5t/h small organic fertilizer plant and breeding farm for personal use

800 type 30kw 5-8t/h small and medium-sized organic fertilizer production line

1000 type 37-45kw 8-15t/h conventional commodity organic fertilizer production line

1200 type 55kw 15-25t/h large and medium-sized production line

Can be crushed: chicken manure, cow manure, pig manure, fermented clinker, sludge, straw blocks, compound fertilizer clumps, filter cake, etc. The material has a moisture content of up to 25% -45% and is not easily clogged.

Advantages of vertical crusher

  1. No screening bottom and no clogging machine, preferred for wet and sticky materials (compared to cage and horizontal screen crushers for the biggest advantage)
  2. The vertical type has a small footprint, a large overall height, a narrow footprint, and convenient production line layout
  3. Multi layer hammerhead, adjustable crushing fineness, discharge generally 0-3mm, meeting the requirements of pre granulation crushing
  4. Simple structure, easy to change hammer head when opening the door, and easy maintenance
  5. The feed particle size is large, and clumping does not require pre crushing

Disadvantages of vertical crusher

  1. The upper limit of fineness is not as good as the horizontal semi wet crusher, and the effect is weaker when the requirements for ultrafine powder are high
  2. Hammer head is a vulnerable part, and it wears out quickly due to long-term exposure to hard impurities
  3. The whole machine is too high, and the factory building is too low. The height should be checked in advance

Comparison with horizontal semi wet pulverizer (key selection of organic fertilizer)

Vertical sieve free bottom: It focuses on wet materials without clogging, stable output, and small footprint; Suitable for fermentation materials and sludge, with medium fineness and high cost-effectiveness

Horizontal semi wet crusher: finer crushing fineness and more uniform powder material; But there are sieve pieces, which are prone to clogging due to high moisture and impurities, making them suitable for high standard organic fertilizers

Mining vertical composite breaker (for sand and gravel)

Feed ≤ 100mm, hourly output 5-100t/h, limestone, coal gangue, pebbles, discharge 0-10mm, fine crushing, sand making, higher requirements for wear-resistant parts, not suitable for ultra-high humidity materials.

Supporting location (organic fertilizer line)

Fermentation tank/flip and throw fermentation discharge → vertical crusher → drum screening machine → disc granulator/extrusion granulator
